Long Tail Bind Off Закрытие петель иглой, соответствующее простому (обычному) набору When you design a sweater, it is very handy to have pairs of Cast On and Bind Off, which matches, look, and feel the same. Tubular Cast On matches a Tubular Bind Off, Italian Cast On looks like a Tubular Bind-Off without set-up rows. However, Long Tail Cast On does not have a pair and is often paired with a simple Bind Off with knitting needles method, in which reverse sides of both are more or less similar, but the right side is entirely different. It creates a braid and has a different degree of elasticity. Simple Bind Off is not stretchy enough and sometimes could not be used for binding-off neckbands, collars or the bottoms when we knit a garment top to bottom. The method presented here is an inverted Long Tail Cast On with the same level of elasticity and identical appearance. The only difference is that it is worked with a tapestry needle. Imagine, that your band pattern is the little brother of your main pattern, which wants to follow the steps of his big brother. The first row of your main pattern repeats should use the last row of a rib pattern as the base or foundation, so it is essential how you locate the rib pattern repeats or which pattern have you chosen for your rib. You will need not only to do some maths but think design-wise also. If your main pattern is a simple stockinette or a simple lace, the 1x1 rib could be a good choice. The 2x2 rib matches cables or 4 stitches pattern repeats very well. If your main pattern has a twisted stitch or a garter stitch, you can incorporate the same stitches in your rib also. Knitting was always a source of happiness and joy for me. I have a lot of finished projects on Ravelry to prove my words. But some time ago I found out that knitting wasn't that exciting anymore, and my finished garments started to pile up in my wardrobe as a dead load. I had so many knitted clothes that I could dress up several teams of football players. And that was a time for a big move. I've started my thread in a knitters forum Osinka and begun teaching practice which brought back the joy of knitting. That was a bit of a challenge to begin teaching practice in a foreign language - Russian. But the more you share, the more you get, and I've got and learned a lot. I discovered a microworld of knitting and dived deep into it. And I'll always be grateful for the time I've spent in Osinka. Two years later I've made one more big move - I became a knitting designer. You can say now: one more knitting designer popped out of nowhere, so what... And yes, you are right. Except for one thing: I design knitwear for real women bodies. All curves, busts, and natural anatomical lines are considered, all patterns are tailored and should fit you perfectly. No more ill-fitting knitwear which is uncomfortable in wearing and produces many wrinkles around your underarms and a bust when there is too much or too little fabric; which exposes naked back neck when your sweater back is too short or your garment continually slips back for the similar reasons. In which pattern schematics are simplified so much, that you barely find a difference between a back and a front. That kind of knitwear will never flatter you, even if it's been knitted using the most intricate stitch pattern or the most luxurious yarn. So every design I am working on begins with sewing pattern blueprints for 5-7 sizes and only after that I design a visual side of the garment. I'm a photographer of my designs, an L size model, and a sample knitter also. I do my website design, pattern tech editing, and layouts. Besides designing, I still do knitting lessons, and I have a lot of inventions, novelty stitch patterns, tips and tricks for a better fit which I'm ready to share with you with time. That's a lot of work, so knitting and designing is my full-time hobby. And, by the way, VILNONIS means WOOLEN in Lithuanian. Я открыла для себя микромир в сфере вязания и нырнула в него очень глубоко. И всегда останусь благодарна тому времени, которое я провела на Осинке. Два года спустя я сделала еще один шаг - стала дизайнером вязаной одежды. Теперь вы имеете право сказать: еще один дизайнер, выросший неоткуда как гриб после дождя, ну и что... И вы будете правы, кроме одной единственной вещи. Я создаю дизайны для настоящих женщин. Все женские формы тела, грудь и анатомические линии учтены в моих дизайнах, выкройки приближены к швейным и должны подходить вам лучшим образом. Этим я высказываюсь против неудобного и плохо сидящего трикотажа, в котором образуется масса складок вокруг ваших подмышек и груди, когда не хватает или, наоборот, слишком много вязаного полотна. Против трикотажа, в котором из-за слишком короткой спины оголяется затылок, а изделие сползает назад. У которого вязальные выкройки настолько упрощенные, что трудно отличить перед от спинки. Такой трикотаж ручного вязания никогда не будет вас украшать, даже если он связан очень сложным узором или самой дорогой и качественной пряжей. Каждый дизайн, над котором я работаю, начинается с выкроек для 5-7 размеров, и только потом я начинаю создавать визуальную часть дизайна. Я сама фотографирую свои дизайны, являюсь L размера моделью, сама вяжу свои прототипы и образцы. Также являюсь веб-дизайнером своей странички, макетирую свои издания и разрабатываю техническую часть описаний. Рядом с этим я все еще делюсь своими вязальными наработками, имею много разных вязальных открытий, техник, создаю интересные вязальные узоры, также советую, как изменить любую вам понравившуюся модель, чтобы она лучше подходила и лучше сидела. Это огромное количество работы, которая у меня начинается ранним утром и заканчивается поздно ночью. Вязание теперь у меня главное занятие, работа и хобби. И, к слову, VILNONIS означает "шерстяной" на литовском. Я живу в Литве, в Вильнюсе, в стране с очень глубокими и широкими вязальными традициями, где почти каждая женщина умеет вязать.
